Former Nigeria U-17 goalkeeper Francis Odinaka Uzoho made his La-Liga bow for Deportivo La Coruna In their 0-0 draw against Eibar.
Standing at an impressive height at over six feet tall, he impressed with his handling of the ball and distribution from the back although he wasn’t tested by the front line of Eibar.
Uzoho who was a part of the Nigeria U17 team to the 2013 World Youth Championship in the UAE joined the team last season from the famous Aspire Academy in Qatar.
The 19 year old has grown in leaps and bounds since joining the team particularly last season when he made the step up from the youth team to the first team after just a month at the club.
His rise lead to having several training session with the first team last season, and finally earned him a spot in the first team for their pre season tour, where he made an impression.
He kept a clean sheet in the two games he kept for the team in their pre season games, and got himself promoted to the role of second choice goalkeeper of the team.
