Argentina star forward Paulo Dybala has explained why they let a two goal lead slip against Nigeria to lose 2-4 in a pre World Cup friendly played in Russia yesterday.
Dybala who was on for Argentina in the game was full of praise for the Nigerian team, and conceded that they lost to the superior power of the Super Eagles.
He told Argentine sports channel and online publication TyC that after the two goals they went for the kill only to be hit badly by a strong performance by Nigeria in the second half.
” We wanted to find the third goal. But instead they fought back. On the counter attack, they (Nigeria) were lethal and we suffered from their speed”, he said.
