The reason why on loan Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is yet to nail a regular spot at his loan side VVV Venlo has been explained by his club coach Maurice Steijn.
Nwakali has only managed 228 minutes of first team football in the eight games he has played for the club since joining them on a season long loan in the summer.
Despite his few minutes of game time he has found the back of the net once and it came on the 10th of September when he scored in their 1-1 draw against Groningen.
” He will play games this season for us, but we have to be patient with him as he still learning our ways and how we want to play especially the defensive side”, the coach explained.
” It’s clear to see that he has the talent and our job is to make sure he applies it correctly in games and that won’t come over night. He will come good for us very soon”.
