Coach of Belgium side Anderlecht Hein Vanhaezebrouck says on loan Everton forward Henry Onyekuru doesn’t have the movement required of a top striker.
Onyekuru is presently the top scorer of the team with seven goals despite playing from the left side of attack, and Vanhaezebrouck has defended his decision to play him as a winger instead of his preferred role as the main striker.
” Onyekuru cannot play as a striker with the system we are playing with one attacker, I’ve tried that a couple of times but he does not feel like it, or not yet ready to lead”, he said.
” He does not have the right movements, even though he thinks he can do it, but he does not know where to move unlike when he plays on the flank, and gets into the strikers role few metres away from goal”, he concluded.
