As first reported by Owngoalnigeria.com forgotten Nigeria U23 forward Ubong Ekpai is in line for a move away from modest Czech Republic outfit Zlin for a top club in same country.
Ekpai has emerged as the most sought after player in Czech Republic after contributing ten goals ( 7 goals, 3 assist) for FC Zlin, the team he joined in the summer on a permanent transfer from Israeli side Maccabi Haifa in the summer.
A member of his team of representatives told Owngoalnigeria.com that the 22 year old is talks with recently crowned champions of Czech League Viktoria Plzen and a move looks imminent.
” Talks are well advanced but nothing is done yet. Viktoria Plzen are interested in Ekpai and he is also willing to join them but you have to respect the fact that he has two years left on his deal with Zlin”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” In the coming days, if not this week then probably next week the deal will most likely be sealed. Ekpai has done well and it’s only normal for top clubs to be keen on a move for a player who can become a world beater in the coming years “.
