The B team of the senior national team of Nigeria who will take on Europa League winners Atletico Madrid in a friendly game later today trained at the venue of the game Godswill Akpabio Stadium yesterday.
Owngoalnigeria.com was at the training session which had all invited players in full swing bar Roma Sadiq Umar who was not released by his Serie A side for the friendly game.
During the session, on loan Man City midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali dazzled for his team with his vision and ability on the ball drawing applause from the pocket of spectators who were at the session.
Nwakali won back possession with ease and looked very composed on the ball when in possession even when he is under pressure. A remarkable improvement from his last performance when he was first invited before the Argentina friendly game last year.
No doubt his stint with Aberdeen of Scotland where he spent the second half of the season on loan from Manchester City has improved his all round performance particularly his abilities to win tackles.
Another player who looked very lively and daring was out of contract Austria Wien midfielder Alhassan Ibrahim popularly known as Mu’azam with his lanky frame helping him to glide pass his markers using his long strides.
Emem Eduok was impressive during the shooting drills and his quick feet also saw him get away from his man with ease. His pace was also another strong point he used in yesterday’s training session.
