Nigeria suffered their second straight loss in in friendly games ahead of the start of the World Cup in Russia by losing 0-1 to Czech Republic yesterday in a camp played not too far away from their training camp in Austria.
Czech Republic scored in the first half and hanged on to claim a memorable win over Nigeria as they continue to build their team after the disappointment of failing to qualify for the World Cup in Russia.
What many people are not aware of is that the Nigerian team were back in training immediately after the game with coach Gernot Rohr drilling players who didn’t feature in the game in a session that lasted over an hour.
Players like Oghenekaro Etebo, Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omeruo, Joel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa who didn’t play in the game were joined in the session by those who made cameo appearance in the game.
The full team were however back in session earlier this morning with all players taking part in training as they aim to correct the mistake noticed during the course of yesterday’s game.
