The star man for Villarreal B in their in their 2-0 play off win over Fuenlabrada Samuel Chukwueze has been added to the first team squad for pre season training, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Chukwueze stole the headline for the B team with a dazzling display which he capped with a goal and an assist in a man of the match display which further confirmed his rating as one of the best prospect in their youth set up.
His first goal was a spectacular effort hit with venom with his favourite left foot which nestled in the net leaving the goalkeeper stranded. He followed it up with an assist for their second goal from a quick counter attack.
News about his elevation to the main team came to him soon afterwards. A sign of how well he has progressed since his move to the team when he turned 18 one year ago.
19 year old Chukwueze joined the LaLiga side after a failed move to Arsenal and later Porto. At Villarreal he progressed from the U18s to the B team in just three months and at both levels he has looked real good.
Already the club are losing sleep over his contract as he has just a year to run on his current deal and for now all talks about an extension is yet to yield fruits with his advisers reportedly studying offers from other teams in Europe.
