Former Nigeria U17 and 20 midfielder Kingsley Michael made his first team bow for Italian Serie A side Bologna in their 8-0 win over Pinzolo in their first pre season game.
A star for the B team last season, the 18 year old who was denied a chance to play for the first team in pre season around this time last year due to visa issues bagged an assist in the big win ahead of the start of the next Italian Serie A season.
A sign of how well the 18 year old has progressed can be traced to the fact that he has been handed a first team squad number, an indication that he could be a mainstay in first team next season.
Unlike other players from the Primavera team, Kingsley who is fondly called ‘Kaka Trigger’ by close friends and associates was handed jersey number 14, an upgrade on the shirt number 88 he wore last season.
He later confirmed to Owngoalnigeria.com that he will dorn the shirt next season as he aim to cement a spot in the first game when hostilities resume both in the cup and league.
