The chase for AS Trencin 18 year old Nigerian midfield maestro Abdul Musa Zubairu has gathered pace with French Ligue 1 side Nice joining a long list of admirers interested in his services following his performance in the Europa League.
Zubairu has been at Slovakian side Trencin for 18 months and after settling down to live in Europe, the GBS Academy graduate has taken the Europa League by storm this season.
The highlight of his display came in their 4-0 win over Dutch side Feyenoord, a game which was watched by scouts of Ajax, Marseille and Nice who are on the look out for a midfielder of his type.
Nice sold their main man in midfield Jean Serri to English side Fulham and Zubairu is seen by the technical crew of the team as a like for like replacement for the Ivory Coast international.
Zubairu’s agent Tony Harris has confirmed interest from Belgium teams in his services and hinted at a possible move to Belgium but with the latest interest from teams in other leagues, a decison might be against going to Belgium.
