Nigeria have won the race for the international future of Hamburg teen sensation Jonas David Jonas has pledged his international future to Nigeria ahead of Germany, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
18 year old Jonas came to prominence with his performance for the U19s of Hamburg last season when they beat all comers to lift the U19 Bundesliga.
Already he has made the step up to the main team and played in their pre season friendly against Bayern Munich, where he was listed among the best performers for the recently relegated Hamburg.
Born in Germany to a German mother and a Nigerian father, his international future was chronicled by the media in Germany after his performance against Bayern Munich as he is eligible to represent Nigeria and Germany.
Strong, tall and imposing, the defensive midfielder who can also play upfront has waived aside talks of playing for Germany as he is fully focused on playing for Nigeria.
