The need for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to pick the targeted four points against Libya in the back to back clash in October has made the Franco-German coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr to make some demands to the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF).
Speaking ahead of the game where Nigeria will be aiming to dislodge Libya as group leaders, the coach urged the leadership of the NFF to get them a favourable pitch which will help them play to their potential.
“I don’t know where we will play because we need a good pitch, a large pitch, a good one where we can play our football against a team who got a good draw today in South Africa.
That’s why we need a good pitch to play our football, for our wingers, for our technical football, we need a good pitch. I hope that we will have it in Nigeria”, he said in a video posted on the official twitter handle of the Super Eagles.
“We are only one point behind and we are receiving them first so we have to win the game. In the two games against Libya, we have to get at least four points so we have to win.”
The Super Eagles of Nigeria won’t play at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, where they have played majority of their games as the pitch is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
For the above reason the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna and the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba Delta State have both paid host to the coach in recent times as he continues his search for a pitch to host the game.
