The famous Golden Boot Soccer Academy of Jos popularly called GBS Academy has produced three out of the four wingers who have played for the senior national team of Nigeria under coach Gernot Rohr.
Rohr has during his time as coach of the team used the quartet of Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Victor Moses and recently Samuel Kalu and only Moses didn’t pass through the Jos based side.
Kalu who made his international bow for Nigeria against Seychelles es is the latest graduate of the academy who have progressed to the Super Eagles and Vitesse Arnheim summer signing Hilary Gong is waiting on the wings.
Ran by Ahmed Ibrahim, the one many call ‘Coach Bros’, they also groomed Nigeria B team and U20 flying left winger Peter Eneji who is presently at Slovakian side AS Trencin.
Since discovering Musa, the respected Academy has groomed over 30 players who are playing professional football in and outside Nigeria with most of their graduates turning out for their foreign partners AS Trencin.
