The decision to hand a Super Eagles recall to Watford forward Isaac Success ahead of Mainz 05 Anthony Ujah has been revealed to Owngoalnigeria.com.
Success and Ujah were in the running to be called back to the senior national team of Nigeria but at the end Success who last played for Nigeria last year was picked in the squad for the double header against Libya.
Owngoalnigeria.com gathered Success was preferred ahead of Ujah due to his ability to combine physical play, pace and skills when on the pitch as seen when he was introduced for Nigeria against Senegal in his only game for the senior national team of Nigeria.
His introduction in the above mentioned friendly game which ended 1-1 sparked Nigeria to life and Rohr would have taken him to the World Cup in Russia if he had stayed fit because he brings something extra.
Rohr’s major concern was his weight back then but that is a thing of the past as the 21 year old now looks trim, fit and sharper for the first time in a long time, which could be a blessing for Nigeria when they take on Libya.
