Levante of Spain forward Moses Simon says the Super Eagles of Nigeria won’t take lightly the team in their group following the conclusion of the draws for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.

Nigeria will campaign in group B with Guinea, Madagascar and Burundi, a group many view as a pretty easy group for Nigeria to pull through and make the next round of the tournament.

Simon is confident that the Eagles will surely pull through from the group, he however said they need to approach every game with the seriousness of a Cup final in order to qualify for the next round.

” We are a force to reckon with in African football and our recent record of not losing in Africa since the lost to South Africa says it all but beyond that this is a tournament and every game should be treated like a cup final. However we should pull through “, Simon told Owngoalnigeria.com.

On the fact that most of the players in the Nigerian team are playing in the cup of nations for the first time, the 23 year old said it shouldn’t slow their progress as they have played in several European competitions.

” It’s a tournament and most of us have played in similar tournament for our clubsides and the team that played at the World Cup is still intact. So we have something to hold on to as well. It’s not an excuse not to do well”, he concluded.
