The senior national team of Nigeria moved four places in the latest rankings released by world football governing body FIFA. It means they are now third in Africa.
Ranked 32 in the world, they are only behind Tunisia who are 26th and second highest ranked team in Africa. Senegal still retain their number one spot on the continent with their current position of 22nd in the world.

Ghana, Cameroon, Mali and Ivory Coast completes the top ten in Africa with a global ranking of 49th, 55th, 57th and 59th respectively.
