Italian giants Inter Milan have won the race for the signing of 18 year old Nigeria midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro from the youth ranks of Nigeria Professional Football League side Remo Stars as first reported by OGN.
He has been officially unveiled as a player of the team but will spend time with the B team from where his development will be monitored for promotion to the main team.
Akinsanmiro stole the show at the prestigious Viareggio youth tournament in Italy, where he represented the U18 of the NPFL side called Alex Transfiguration FC. They finished as runners up to Sassuolo.
He however did enough to catch the attention of top teams in Europe and earlier today, a deal with Inter Milan became official following the completion of the paper works with his team Remo Stars.
Inter Milan saw off competition from Benfica and also Real Madrid to seal the signing of the teen star, who will be a part of the strengthening of their U19 team who are champions of the U19 League in Italy. They however need new players as most of the key players have made the step up to the main team.
Good at winning back possession and also playing line breaking passes. He scored two goals in six games at the tournament but his movements with the ball at his feet, ability to pick a pass and also score and assists made him stand out among the midfielders at the tournament.
