French Ligue 1 giants PSG have beaten all comers to the signing of Victor Osimhen from Italian Serie A side Napoli, according to reports in the Italian media.

Osimhen is prime to leave the Italian side in the summer after powering them to the Serie A title last season, but Napoli insist he will only leave for the full amount contained in the buy out clause inserted in his new deal with the club.

PSG according to Il Mattino are one step away from an agreement with Napoli for Osimhen after agreeing to pay the total worth of his buyout clause which stands at €120,000000 , and talks have already been held with the representative of the 25 year old.

The reports says a four year deal with an annual salary of €13m has been agreed with his camp with PSG keen on wrapping up the deal for him to be available for the start of pre season training. They see him as the like for like replacement for Kylian Mbappe who is expected to leave the club in the summer to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Per the report, Osimhen was in Paris recently to begin the process of house hunting. PSG used the excellent relationship between their president Nasser Al Khelaifi and that of Napoli Aurelio de Laurentiis to beat other suitors to his signing.

On a personal note, it was said that another incentive that swayed Osimhen is that he will likely manage his own image rights as part of the switch. Something that isn’t the case presently with Napoli.
