Nigeria international forward Victor Boniface survived a ghastly car accident few hours after netting the match winner for Bayer Leverkusen in their 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Boniface scored his fifth goal in seven Bundesliga game this season with the winner for his team in the 71st minute, eight minutes before he was subbed off. Few hours later he posted the picture of his car which was badly damaged in an accident.
” God say my time never reach”, he posted on his Instagram story. A statement which literally translates to God says it’s not yet my time. He shared a video of his badly damaged Mercedes Benz car as well.
He sustained a hand injury which he also displayed in the video. That is the only scare he got from the crash as reports say he is a stable condition and doesn’t need further medical attention.
The details of the crash and what led to it is expected to be known in the coming days with, the German authorities expected to investigate the crash that left the front of his car badly damaged.
