Newly promoted French Ligue 1 side Paris FC have made Super Eagles star their prime target in the summer transfer window as part of the overhauling of their squad for the challenge of next season, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Based in the same city as the champions of Europe PSG, Paris FC’s recent promotion to Ligue 1 involves a significant ownership change, with the Arnault family and Red Bull GmbH becoming key investors.
By acquiring a minority stake became a stakeholder at the club with the Arnault family acquired holding a majority stake. It is part of a long term plan to make the club a force in Ligue 1, which starts with signing of key players.
Moses Simon who has a year to go on his deal with Nantes is their main target from the French Ligue 1 with Nantes also keen on cashing in on him with one year left of his deal. He ended last season with 8 goals and ten assists.
Simon who is also open to an exit this summer will prefer a move abroad out of respect for Nantes, where he has spent the last six seasons but the temptation of earning thrice his current pay is very much heavy on his thoughts, and could possibly affect his decision.
The club also have their sight on bringing back Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye back to the city of Paris after his failed stint with PSG. The 35 year old is said to be very interested in the project of the new boys.
