The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have been dragged to court by Bob Majiri Oghene Communications (BMC) over the contract details of Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Chelle was appointed in February as the substantive coach of the Super Eagles replacing Austine Eguavoen who held the role in interim capacity, all through the games of the AFCON qualifiers following the decision of Finidi George to quit his role.
NFF said the coach was appointed on a two year deal, but failed to disclose his earnings or other contract terms making BMC to approach a Federal High Court in Abuja through an ex-parte notion field on February 18 2025.
They claimed the NFF has failed to respond to a Freedoms of Information (FOI) dated 20/01/2025 requesting the NFF and the president Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau to furnish them with the contract details of the coach.
The failure of the NFF to hand the information led to a service by the court issued by Hon Justice G. K. Olotu of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Mr. Ben Kargbo, counsel to BMC, said that since the matter had been adjourned till the 22 July, 2025, that he expected the NFF to do the needful.
“The matter as it is now is between the NFF and the Federal High Court,” Mr. Kargbo said.
