New Super Eagles Striker Targets Summer Exit After Switching To New Agent

Nigeria international striker Tolu Arokodare has been offered an escape from English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers by Dutch giants Ajax, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Arokodare was in the news yesterday after he forced the team to cancel their training session, by insisting on taking part despite been told by the coach that he isn’t permitted to train with the team.

He has seen a proposed move to Italian side Fiorentina fall through, and the frustration of the failed deal has made him more determined to leave the club before the close of the summer transfer window.

There is the option of Turkish side Trabzonspor on the table, and another Italian side Genoa has also been credited in an interest in the lanky forward who joined Wolves last summer from Genk.

Recent report from the Netherlands says league giants Ajax who are looking for more options in attack have him on their shortlist.

Despite the arrival of Marcos Leonardo, given the likely departure of Kasper Dolberg. Arokodare is reportedly on the list with Ajax clear that they needed another forward.

Wout Weghorst left on a free transfer and Chuba Akpom did not return either, while Don-Angelo Konadu is available for loan and Julian Rijkhoff has no future at the club.

Dolberg also seems to be heading for the exit. Leonardo has already been signed for nearly twenty million euros, but Ajax still needs a striker and it’s likely Arokodare from relegated Wolverhampton.
