Super Eagles invitee Uchenna Ogundu scored a hattrick for German side Augsburg in a 15-0 win over Austrian regional side SC Schwaz in a pre season game, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
20 year old Ogundu joined the team from Turkish side Alanyaspor in the January transfer window, and found it hard to crack a spot in the first team.
The idea the club had was to ease him into their system using pre season, and so far it has gone on well with his hattrick yesterday coming on the back of strong performances in previous games.
He scored in the 5th minute, added another in the 9th before another one in the 37th minute to complete a first half hattrick, which shows his readiness for next season.
Picked in the provisional list of Nigeria for the AFCON, a strong performance will no doubt put him in the frame for a recall, but he is certain to be in the U23 team which is headed by same coach Eric Chelle.
