Three players of the U20 team of Nigeria have been picked in the official best eleven players in the recently concluded WAFU B Tournament in Cote d’Ivoire, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Nigeria suffered a heavy 1-4 defeat in the final to champions Burkina Faso, hence lost out on qualification to the U20 AFCON which will be hosted by Ghana.
Despite the disappointment three players from the team were considered good enough to be in the Best XI players of the tournament led by tournament’s highest goal scorer Abdulmuiz Adeleke.
He is joined by midfielder Lucky Oraro and centre back Alfred Odinaka. They joined five players from Burkina Faso, Two from Cote d’Ivoire and one from Niger Republic in the list made public by the technical study group of the tournament.
