Nigeria international defender Benjamin Fredrick had been conspicuously missing from the squad of Brentford in all of the games they have played in pre season so far, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Despite making a full recovery from the injury that his rise last season to a premature end while on loan to Belgium side FC Dender, he hasn’t featured in any pre season game.
Brentford officially announced his elevation to the first team and included him in their pre season squad for the training tour of Portugal, but we can exclusively reveal that they are following medical advice on how best to integrate him into full training.
The medical team of the club feels at the end of this month, he will be fit enough to take part in full training and games, after missing competitive football since November last year.
Barring any setback, Fredrick will also return to the squad of the senior national team of Nigeria for the AFCON qualifiers in September.
