One of the players in the list of the head coach of Nigeria Eric Chelle for the U23 team Wisdom Mike has completed his move from Bayern Munich to Belgium side Club Brugge, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Born in Germany to parents of Nigerian descent, he has already represented Germany at youth level, but Chelle is hopeful that he will be able to convince the 17 year old to switch his international future to Nigeria.
Club Brugge will reportedly pay €5 million in fixed fees, with Bayern also securing additional bonuses and a sell-on clause as part of the deal. Mike has signed a contract running until 2029, following the successful completion of his medicals.
A loan move had initially been considered for the talented winger, but Bayern have now opted for a permanent transfer instead.
Interestingly, the German champions are reportedly not including a buy-back clause in the agreement, meaning they may not have a direct option to bring Mike back to the club in the future.
