Nigeria international defender Benjamin Fredrick made his long awaited return to match action for English Premier League side Brentford, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Fredrick picked up a meniscus injury that required surgery during a loan spell with Belgium side FC Dender in November, cutting short his season long stay.
He returned to Brentford where he was confirmed as a first team player, but his return to match practice was delayed by the English side who were careful in introducing him to contact after nine months on the sidelines.
Like we exclusively reported two weeks ago, his expected return of the end of the month went as planned after he played 45 minutes for the U21 in their 5-1 win over Sunderland earlier today.
Brentford celebrated his return with a post on their social media handle. A sign that the 21 year old is now ready to be integrated into the first team activities for the season.
