Coach of Chinese side Hebei Fortune Manuel Pellegrini has refused to rule out a summer move for some players from his old team Manchester City.
The coach was responding to questions on possible additions to his squad in the summer from Europe, and the former Malaga, Villarreal and Manchester City manager said he is open to the idea.
” There are players who have worked with in the past that am looking at. For now we are not close to signing any player but in the coming days we could be involved in some transfers”, he reportedly told the media in China.
The coach almost made a move for Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho in the summer, but he opt not to push a deal for the 20 year old who came to limelight during the reign of the manager at the Etihad.
” I won’t mention names of the players I have contacted over a possible move in the summer, as a mark of respect for their current clubs. But we will do some business in the summer”.
