Per a document stumbled upon by Owngoalnigeria.com, Abia Warriors forward Chisom Chikatara is presently locked in talks with Sfaxien of Tunisia.
Chikatara signed a deal with Moroccan outfit Wydad Casablanca but their refusal to pay the agreed transfer fee after the expiration of the due date for payments and shunning of several reminders made Abia Warriors to terminate the deal as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com a month ago.
A transfer authorisation letter given to Five Stars player management outfit by Abia Warriors mandating the agency to negotiate a deal that will see the 22 year old join Junior Ajayi,Kingsley Sokari and Lukman Zakari at the Tunisia Ligue 1 title contenders was stumbled upon by our correspondent.
Talks between both parties is at an an advanced stage according to reports and a final decision will be reached in the coming days with an annoucement expected before the close of the Tunisian league which has two more games to go.
We however learnt two other teams from Tunisia namely Esperance and Etoile du Sahel are also interested in the services of the poster boy of Nigeria’s AFCON 2016 campaign in Rwanda.
