Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle is not done with looking for more options in the middle of the park for the senior national team of Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Chelle has been active in the area of bolstering his options especially with players born abroad to parents of Nigerian descent. Recently he capped the quartet of Arthur Okonkwo, Femi Azeez, Emmanuel Fernandez and Owen Oseni who were born abroad.
Two weeks ago we reported that he has successfully convinced Al Ittihad forward George Ilenikhena to pledge his international future to Nigeria. He has now shift his attention to new Galatasaray signing Lesley Ugochukwu.
We can exclusively reveal that he has already instructed his scout to establish contact with the 22 year old to gauge his interest in playing for Nigeria, after representing French at various youth levels.
Reports say Lesley whose uncle Onyekachi Apam played for the senior national team of Nigeria recently acquired a Nigerian passport, and was in his ancestral home town in Nigeria during the holidays.
