Lille striker Victor Osimhen yesterday was made to undergo a random drug test after putting in an impressive shift which he crowned with a goal despite his team losing 1-2 at home to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, Owngoalnigeria.com reports.
Osimhen headed a cornerkick home to draw Lille level and remained a constant threat all through the game with his all action play using his pace, power, skills and experience to against the defenders of Chelsea.
After the game, the Nigerian was the only player picked from the team of Lille to be tested in the dope room but it’s unclear if his number was randomly selected or if he was picked by the medical team without the usual drawing of lots.
” We are not surprised that he was picked although we are not sure yet if it was through the drawing of lot system they normally use. However when you put in a performance like that you don’t expect the medics not to suspect you “, his representative jokingly told Owngoalnigeria.com.
