Nigeria pulled a goal back from the spot courtesy of captain Rasheedat Ajibade after a handball in the box. Nigeria’s hope of drawing level was dashed again when Temi got her second goal of the game .
Uchenna Kanu scored late for Nigeria but there was no much time to stage a comeback with the final whistle coming shortly after the goal. A shock defeat for the ten time champions.
