Belgium side Club Brugge have reached an agreement with Norwegian side Tromso for the transfer of former Nigeria U17 defender Vince Osuji, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Osuji joined the team in the January transfer window of 2024 from Swedish side Kalmar after a whirlwind six months at the club led to interests from teams across Europe.
However he hasn’t quite developed as expected after two years with no senior appearance in the league to his name, the club has decided to cut him loose at the age of 20. He has been with their youth team since his move.
Tromso who are playing in the Europa Conference League against Brighton on Thursday is seen as the perfect place for the centre back to get his confidence back, and the deal is said to be well advanced.
An announcement is said to be imminent after a routine medical, but he won’t be eligible to play in their Europa Conference League game on Thursday.
